tickled pink... or coral

I am going to pretend like I have an awesome DIY blog and show you all the cool things I know how to do. Ready go!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I have been working on my living room and and now it is time for the reveal! How am I doing so far? Maybe I am the only one who reads DIY blogs so this is only hysterical to me (ha) anyway Here are the pics and you better think they are awesome, cause I do. Thats why I am tickled pink.. or coral like i already said. (holla)

This is before. Our ugly brown and black living room.

before. ps our huge tv scares me. I think people on the tv are in our house. YIKES!

forgot to take a before with my good camera. Thats why the curtains like they are.

more brown and black.

Start of curtains.I just winged it. I didn't really know what I wanted or the exact measurements so I made them up as I went.

See this was what I was saying about a teenage girl room. What do ya think?

My 75 cent glass vases. :)

My little helper

another dollar later and my vases are blue! I painted the inside of them and they are real cute!

Next project.... coffee table :) I have such a good man

I also forgot to take a picture with my good camera with it finished with just the wood. Anyway I painted it and thought it looked like it was too plain. (how can coral be plain?) anyway so I made my own little stencil. I don't have a printer. or anything awesome. so I free handed it.

this was the mess I created to make the master piece. I am proud
Me little man helping me again!
got this calendar on etsy. I painted the frame and voila!
And here is the final project!
See what I mean about the life size man on TV.
Well thats that for now. I really like how it turned out. Maybe a little 'little girl' still, but its way happier then what we had! Love it!

we meet again.

I had once imagined that where I am at in my life right now, would be much different. I imagined after having my first baby I would be in a tiny house in Snowflake. I imagined visiting my mom often and her coming to pick us up for a drive. I imagined seeing my sisters nearly every day. Until August 2011 that was probably going to be the case. Jord and I were talking about how much we didn't have going for us the first 10 months of our marriage. We had no idea what we wanted to do. It seemed like we were content with being Days Inn employees. A week ago on our drive home I thought how weird it was I was 'going home'. I have always been home. It isn't easy being here, but it's not hard either. I love what we are doing, but I will be excited for it to be over.

Picture time... I have a lot of em.

Blessing day!
Rush and Olivia they are 5 weeks apart (i think)

Grandpa has finally figured out Rush is a boy and he seems to really love him! I love this picture!
We played dress up at Great Grandpa's house!

Valentines Day!

Last but no least... I made this skirt! Inspired by pinterest. I learned a lot, and I now need to find new fabric. I have used this for my baby's room, and a car seat cover... Where do you get cheap material??

One post.... Lots of things

I don't want to get sick/be sick anymore. I also feel like a could sleep all day, only waking up to eat. Which by the way, is my new favorite past time.

My project list is winding down. Thank goodness, yet I could just keep going. They are just a little too time consuming.

Here are some pictures of my table! I didn't take a picture of the table finished on my phone, so here is what it looked like killed.
 Chairs
Finished :) I love the green and black together.
By the way, no money saved is worth the the value of spray paint. I went and bought some because I couldn't take painting anymore.

I got this cute cradle from Karlee remember? Well yesterday Aunt Kim gave me the idea to cover the bumper that was with it, SO I DID! If herkamer doesn't get here soon I might go crazy.

Nothing to do with projects, just thoughts. Baby Brigham Denhalter passed away two nights ago. I cried. I was praying so hard that that little boy would make it. I was praying so hard that Joe and Chelsea wouldn't have to keep wondering how each day was going to go, but that he would just get better. I hope that I would show the same faith that they have shown. It's times like this that you have to be so grateful for the gospel. Times like this where the saying families are forever means more than anything. I am grateful for a healthy baby, I am grateful for this gospel, I am grateful for eternal families. I am grateful for baby Brigham and how in his short life, even though I never got to meet him, he touched my life.

Happy Thursday.

{six weeks till my due date!}

Taaadaaa!!!

Yay! We finally got it done! Thanks to a +50 degree day, and a corner at days inn :)
Here Is the before picture....
This is Jord "killing" it
I missed me painting but.....

Here is the final project!

I put a glaze in the cracks and it made it look soo much better!
I was pretty worried about how it was going to turn out. The color (which is like an ivory color), the glaze, should i have sanded it down? I learned a lot on this one and I can't wait to do the next one :))) it will most likely be THIS color or THIS color :)
