Hi-ya

Well guess what. We are still homeless. On a side not living with the Tenney's has been rather enjoyable. To be honest it has gone far better then I thought it would. (it's just time ya know?) Friday is supposed to be the big day for sure this time. I even have stuff transffered into our name! This whole situation leads me to my rant today. Bare with me.

The first of January marked week 2 of sickness with the Tenneys. It was also about week 3 of deciding to move back to AZ. My go to saying was I can't wait for January to be over. I was ready for sickness to be gone, emergency move to be over, and to be back into 'life'. Well the only thing that Feburary has not stole from January was sickness, and guess what I have been wishing half the month that Feruary would just get over. The other day I was stressed to the max. I don't know if I don't handle it well so I seem to make it worse, or I had real cause to stress. Getting the house stuff set up, insurance in AZ, work (this is easy but still I can count it right?) taxes done, class, and financial aid has been a little overwhelming. I just new that if I could wish February away this would all be over. Then I started thinking about what every married couple has said to us. You will look back on the time in your life as some of the most joyous times in your life. And all be darned if they aren't right! Since I have taken on the "come what may and love it attitude" I have gotten so much done. Insurance -check. house stuff- check. good grades in school -check taxes -check and financial aid- almost check. I have also been way happier with our situation. Sure we are poorer then church mice, and have a lot of school left, but we also are experiencing a lot an learning and growing, and livin off love.

I have also found out something about myself during this process. I love being a mom. I always knew I wanted a family, a big one at that, but I don't remeber a yearning desire to raise children. Until now. I feel that is my calling in life. I find my self sitting in class wishing I was with my baby, which creates conflict that I need to work out, but the love I have for him, as his mother makes me happier. I am so grateful that I get to have that rotten, cute, loving boy in my life.

I hope you all have a good last week of February! I know I will!

Surprise.

So since I haven't blogged in a long time, I figured I would make this one real interesting.

Let's start off with baby 2. As most of you know we got a call on Saturday (a week ago) from my OB. He said he was concerned that our baby might have down syndrome. We cried. We got really scared. We were comforted by family. The next 5 days we decided that we would be so blessed to parents to a special baby. We met with the ultrasound specialist Friday morning. They told us that our baby looked fine, but we still need to rule out some more things like other birth defects and heart defects. We felt like we had more questions then answers, but we feel confident that the lord will bless us in whatever happens. We will keep getting tests for the next month or so and hopefully get more answers. For those who have prayed for us thank you, and thank you for your continued prayers for our sweet baby.

Lets finish with New Mexico. Friday (before the doctors call) we visited Jordan in the hospital. As we left the hospital T said he wanted to be a nurse. After joking around with the idea, T told us he was really serious about it. We prayed and prayed about what to do. The whole week we were left with out answers. Thursday night as we drove to New Mexico for our ultrasound we talked about what to do. We did pros and cons for Nursing and Instrumentation. Long story short, Friday on our way home from New Mexico we both had had feelings that Nursing was what we needed to do. So we plan to uproot our little family in the matter of weeks, and start a whole new life plan.

It has been a crazy week. We have been scared, shocked, confused, and most of all blessed. More then ever I know that my Savior is mindful of us. I know that he is in control of our life. I know that no matter what happens, we are making the right decision and the Lord will continue to bless us.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Prayers Please.

I like to share whats happening in my personal life. Mostly because I like it when people tell me how their life is going. Anyway there is a really really really ( I can't stress really enough) awesome job opening (we have even heard that there are multiple openings) at a power plant here in New Mexico. It's beyond the perfect job. We would basically be getting paid to go to school (who doesn't want that?!) Anyway it's super competitive and TONS of people (we are guessing) have put in their job applications. Well my awesome husband sent in he resume too. The deadline was today, so I am sure in the next couple days maybe weeks we will know if we get an interview. We would really appreciate it if you would join us in prayer so that we could get the job. There will probably be a lot more 'qualified' people, but we are praying hard, and like everything else in our lives we are trusting in the Lord.

Have a happy day, and thanks in advance for keeping us in your prayers!

Love,
The Tenneys

My little man

Lately the Rush Man has been sooo much fun. He is learning so much. I love watching him put toys in buckets, or anything that will hold them. I love when he gets all of my cooking utensils out of the drawer. I love how he thinks he is hilarious when he hits himself in the head. I love how he crawls away as fast as he can when I say "I am going to get you!". I love that he is taking 1 really long nap and sleeping all night! (finally) I love how he cuddles with his soft sheep. I love watching him play with my volleyball, trying to throw and roll it all around the room. I love watching him try and figure out how to get from one place to the next while standing. (small attempts at walking.) I love listening to him blabber. I love how he thinks its funny to clear the bookshelf of books, and after I get after him he will turn and look to see if I am watching him attempt the destruction again. I love how he fake coughs to get my attention. I love that as soon as he hears the water turn on for his bath the excitement he gets makes it nearly impossible to get him undressed. I love that he is starting to feed himself like a big boy. I love most that he loves me. I feel like he really knows me and chooses me over anyone. (we will see if it stands when we grandma bett in a few days!)

I love being a mom to my sweet, yet naughty little boy.

Big Day for America

I am sure all you lovely American citizens have voted. While I was voting, I got a little tear in my eye. A tear of pride i think. I am so grateful for this country, and the freedom we enjoy. I won't bore you all with my opinion on your current president but I feel that Mr. Romney is the man for the job. I have been praying hard that we will elect a man who believes in God!

I don't know about all of you, but I will be glued to the TV waiting to see the results!

Happy Election Day, God Bless America!

Here's a story

One that I think you will find exciting. I have already said this, but I am really bad at keeping secrets. Anyway, a few weeks ago I thought Aunt Flow should have come, she didn't nor will she for 9 months.

Yes lovelies that means we are expecting a little bundle of joy.

Lets rewind. October 6 2012 we were with T's family talking about babies and what not. I was telling them " I won't have 2 babies in diapers! I want to wait for awhile till I can get a little bit of school done. Plus I have an IUD so it won't be a problem waiting" Heavenly Father thought that was funny I would say that cause I was already pregnant. Anyway I got home from my long trip to AZ and kept expecting that time of the month. It didn't happen and little signs of being pregnant kept arising. I was in major denial so I didn't want to take a test. Well after T was super annoyed with me talking about it, and being super emotional he said - That's it we are finding out! I knew what it would say and I sat in the bathroom crying as the answer was confirmed. Not just crying, but bawling. How could this happen. We are so poor. We jut had Rush 9 months ago. I finally felt like my body was getting back to normal. I am supposed to have pretty heavy loads in school until I got accepted (hopefully) in April! I finally had a plan!!! T was wonderful and calmed me so much. He said "This is a blessing, and we don't want to be ungrateful there are people who want babies and can't have them, and next time we want to have a baby we want to be able to!" He is an angel. That whole day I was not excited. I tried, but I couldn't muster up the courage to be. I am now. I am so grateful that we are having another sweet baby.

I just found out, I think I will be due June 26. I have felt pretty good, maybe a little bit more tired, and a little bit more nauseous then last time.

We keep saying... We are going to have a baby! !

Just a little personal.

I don't hold much back on this blog-diggity. Today wont be much different.

I think I have been depressed. I was becoming even more of a hermit then I already was, and I thought I was practically worthless. I felt I wasn't being a good momma and wifey. Tuesday night I had a break down. A major break down. I can't even begin to describe it. Anyway I asked Jord for a blessing, and he gave me the sweetest blessing. He said "you are a daughter of heavenly father, he loves you, and it makes him sad when you don't see the worth of yourself".

It was the perfect blessing with exactly what I needed to hear. I knew it I just needed reminded. Since then I have been a whole new woman. A happy, confident, and energetic woman. I didn't realize how bad I was until I have seen how happy I am now.

Like I said super personal, but I was such a good experience I had to share. In the last week I have accomplished more, and been happier with myself, and my job as a mom and wife I can't even describe.

It is much easier to be happy then to be sad. Have a good week. I know I will!

You call it a double wide, I call it home.

Wednesday August 15 I was so excited to get back to New Mexico. As Thursday morning rolled around and we loaded up all our junk and left for the Land of Enchantment. I cried all the way to Holbrook. We made plans of what would need to accomplish between the time we arrived home and Monday when I left for class. Right in the middle of a juicy part of our book we have been reading, we got a flat tire. Right on the freeway in between no where and Gallup. It was hot, and cars were speeding by us. My paranoia kicked in and was just sure someone was going to slam into us while we were sitting ducks changing a tire. Anyway my super awesome (by then super sweaty) husband had changed the tire and we were on the road an hour later. We got to Gallup, stopped to get something to eat. We had 3 Indians ask us for money in a 45 minute period. By the third one I about said, "No, do you have 20 bucks for diapers." I was hot and cranky give me a break. Five and a half hours later we made it to Kirtland. As we were pulling in I got the worst feeling. I don't know why, but I felt like throwing up! Anyway we found our house better then we had the time before. (thermostat had broke and our house was about 95 degrees) We had a thick layer of dust, and a little mouse had chewed up part of out couch.. I could go on in great detail but I will give a shorter version. We felt that little things kept going wrong. We were frustrated from a long day and tired. We went to bed late, and woke up early to drive back to Gallup to exchange cars with my Dad. We get there and he tells us something is wrong with our car. Pep boys computer was down, and no were else seemed to think anything was wrong. Luckily Denise and Sydney Manning were there (they broke down the night before) and we followed them home. We get back continue unpacking and we had a feeling that something unwanted was in our home. After a prayer and a blessing on our home we felt the spirit, and our uneasy feelings from the previous days were gone. Sunday rolled around Jord gave a wonderful gospel doctrine lesson. Jord got offered a carpet cleaning job which was a complete answer to prayer and load of Jordan's shoulders of how we would survive this semester.

As we have talked about our last few days, Jord and I have recalled all the events over and over. We questioned why we felt like everything was going wrong at first. To be honest we were a bit bitter. Then so many things started to fall into place, and we felt much better. Jord's philosophy on it all was that Satan was trying to discourage us because something great is going to come from us being here. I think he is right.

Saturday I was mad, and today I feel completely undeserving of the blessings we have received. I am grateful for a priesthood holder in our home. I am grateful for the gospel. I am grateful for family. I am grateful for my Savior.

We live in New Mexico. We live in a double wide. We have each other. We are blessed.
