If you guessed Hawaii you are wrong. Ha just kidding you are right.
Think of the one thing about a hotel room on your honeymoon that would be the worst thing possible? No complimentary soap? No HBO channels? A smoking room? NOPE I think Twin beds would be the winner - and yes that's what we got. Lets rewind.
+ night before flight- anxiously we travel to the valley- stay at Jeff and Ashley's (T's Bro) This time 1 twin bed. As you can imagine between the uncomfortable floor and excitement sleep was non existent. We tossed and turned until the alarm clock said we could get up at 5.
+ Flight wasn't too bad. But I'm pretty sure the only babies on the plane were next to us. And whats worse then babies? Talking sisters. Imagine any two of the aunts sitting across the isle from each other? Yeah that image you got in your head was right! Oh and for lunch on the plane they served Cheesy Spinach...
+ We landed got our bags and made it to the rental car place with out a single problem. But then that's where we started spiraling out of control. We had made arrangements to spend a little over $200.00 on our car rental. Times that by 2 and that's what our new price was. We freaked asked for advice and decided to take a taxi to our hotel. We had map quested it before so we knew it was nine miles. $40 later we made it to our hotel. We were both frustrated and stressed - especially because the taxi driver was Japanese and knew only how to say dollar amounts in English. R-I-P off!!!
+ The lobby of the hotel was fairly nice we started to have hope. We heard the front desk guy say something but we thought he was talking to the other front desk guy. So we got our keys and go to our room, and guess what - the front desk guy was talking to us and yes, we were warned about the twin beds- bleh. We were thankful that we were only there one night - but needless to say we were just getting more and more in the "What the heck" mood.
+My parents found our day rather amusing, and told us everything would be ok, convinced us to go and get the car. So one shuttle and $20 later we were back at the car rental. And we got the cutest car! The Kia Soul (Junk wants one now I think check out the video doesn't it make you want to buy one {insert smirk here})
+Back to the hotel we went to drop another 15 dollars for parking. We couldn't get over the ridiculous price for everything. We had heard of a delicious place called Dukes. And let me tell ya - it was!! We had to search for it but it was worth it. Shrimp, steak, AMAZING salad bar. So perfect. We thought it was so expensive, but then realized we hadn't eaten all day, and had had a crappy day so we figured we deserved it (it really wasn't that expensive for a sit down restaurant either we were just freaking out still)
+By the time we got back to the hotel we were so ready for bed. We hoped the next day would bring a way better day.
Sorry it's so long - It's kinda my journal.
This is our room (after we slept - hence the smiling joking face)

Just got the car (yay)
The view from our hotel. (the beach was to our left) On our way to Dukes. Right on Waikiki
