After I was born
A white dress would my grandma adorn
With beads and lace
It just lit up my face.
As my dad held me in his hands
He gave me a blessing and a name
And things would never be the same
A white dress would my grandma adorn
With beads and lace
It just lit up my face.
As my dad held me in his hands
He gave me a blessing and a name
And things would never be the same
As 8 joyful years passed
My parents realized it was all coming too fast
It was time for another dress
And it was hard for them to confess
With friends and family gathered to help me remember
I made a big step, and became a member
After it was all said and done
We had 12 years of pure fun.
After it was all said and done
We had 12 years of pure fun.
Not after much strife
The day would finally arrive
That I would have to pick my third white dress
I never dreamed of anything less
I pictured myself at the alter
Where I was sure Junk and I would not falter
So now in 12 days
The 3 white dresses will be complete
And I have found that that is something quite neat
There is something more to this special time in my life
besides Junk and I become husband and wife.
What a privilege it is
To be the big sis
And I say a prayer for me
That I can be an example like I should be
What a privilege it is
To be the big sis
And I say a prayer for me
That I can be an example like I should be
Friday I bought temple clothes, and Saturday I went to a baptism. it just got me thinking about the poem the three white dresses and how as a little girl, I couldn't even dream about the third white dress. I never thought it would come. As we were in the distribution center it hit me what a blessing the temple is. I also had an interview with President Smith and one of the questions he asked me was "Do you look forward to being sealed in the temple for time and all eternity?" As I fought back tears of joy and excitement, I answered with a very assuring YES!
Yay this weekend I get to go through the temple!!!
